Let's see first how to download other people's Instagram direct taking advantage of some third-party solutions. As regards Android, I will point out a solution that allows you to download the live broadcasts shared in the form of IGTV videos (once a live is finished, in fact, it is no longer possible to share it as a story, but as IGTV content to make streaming broadcasts available without the limit of 24 hours). On iPhoneInstead, I'll show you how you can record a live stream, so you can save it locally and watch it later.
If you decide to download the live stream of other users, however, be careful not to publish them elsewhere because doing so could violate the privacy of the author of the live as well as the terms of use of Instagram. Then don't tell me I didn't warn you!
How to download Instagram direct from Android
If you want to proceed from Android, as I told you, there are ad hoc apps that allow you to save Instagram stories and live in a rather simple way, as long as these have been shared on IGTV.
One of the best on the square is Story Saver for Instagram. As its name suggests, this app was developed specifically to download stories, but if necessary it can also be used to download IGTV content (and, therefore, also the live broadcasts published in the section in question). Basically it is free, but to remove the advertising (not too invasive) you need to buy the paid version, which costs 3,29 euros.
How to use? After installing and starting Story Saver for Instagram, log in to Instagram, filling in the text fields related to yours username and the relative Password, and press the button Log in to log in. Once the app is connected to your Instagram account (which can always represent a potential privacy risk, considering that it is a third-party solution; use it only if strictly necessary), press the icon of the magnifying glass, type il username of the person whose live published on IGTV you want to save and select the occurrence corresponding to the account of your interest.
Once this is done, click on the IGTV tab, located on the right, identify the content of your interest and, once found, tap on its preview. Finally, download the video by pressing the icon of freccia rivolta verse il basso (above) and wait for the download to complete. The video will be saved directly in the Gallery.

How to download Instagram direct from iOS
If you intend to save other people's Instagram streams on iOS, you can use the function Screen recording integrated into the iPhone operating system, available from iOS 11 onwards. By doing this, you will be able to save live broadcasts easily and without having to resort to external solutions. Of course, to record the live broadcast in its entirety, you will have to watch it all: this is clear.
First, go to the app Settings iPhone, by tapping on the gray icon with gears present on the home screen, then go to Control Center> Customize Controls and press pulsating capacitor positive (+) lead placed in correspondence with the wording Screen recording, in order to add the button in the iOS Control Center that allows you to recall the screen recording function “on the fly”.
Once this is done, access Instagram from its official app, swipe from the top left corner to the bottom (on iPhone with Face ID) or from bottom to top (on iPhone with Home button), in order to call back the Control Center, and press the button depicting the circle with the dot inside, so that the screen recording starts.
To activate the microphone during recording, before proceeding, make a long tap on the button relating to the function Screen recording and press on the symbol of microphone. Once this is done, tap anywhere on the screen (on iPhone with Face ID) or scroll down the Control Center curtain (on iPhone with Home button) and presses on miniature of the program you intend to register for.
To interrupt it, then call the Control Center, as I showed you before, presses the button depicting the circle with the dot inside and press on the wording Stop in the opened menu. The recording will be saved directly in the app Gallery. .
How to download Instagram direct from PC
Download direct Instagram of others from PC it is even simpler than the solutions for mobile devices mentioned above and the merit is of some free extensions for browsers (for which the same discourse on privacy applies to the apps, so use them only if strictly necessary). One of the best fit-for-purpose solutions is IG Stories for Instagram, available free for Google Chrome.
To use IG Stories for Instagram, open Google Chrome, go to the Chrome Web Store page that hosts the add-on and click on the buttons Add e Add extension. After installing IG Stories for Instagram, log into your Instagram account (always from Chrome), click onIG Stories for Instagram icon (top right) and, in the opened box, click on the wording Go to IG Stories.
Now, locate the live stream you intend to download, click on its preview and, once opened, click on the button Download (top left). If you do not see the button in question, obviously the live broadcast has not yet ended and, for the moment, you can only see it. Try again when it is finished.
In any case, when you have actually downloaded the live stream locally, you can review it by opening the file [nome utente] _saved_live_xyz_n.mp4 obtained (it should be in the Download if you haven't customized your PC settings).

How to download Instagram direct from Android
To download your live broadcasts on Android, all you have to do is close the live and, in the menu that is shown immediately after, decide whether to download it locally or to share it on IGTV.
Therefore, close the direct, pressing first on the item end (top right) and then on the button Finish now (lower left). In the menu that opens, then select the item Share on IGTV (if you want to share the live on IGTV), or Download the video (to save it on your device) and that's it.
How to download Instagram direct from iOS
If you want to know how to save your live by acting from iPhone, know that the procedure to follow is not at all different from the one I showed you in the chapter on Android.
Even in this case, in fact, you have to press the buttons end (located at the top right) e Finish now (located at the bottom left), so as to close the live broadcast, and choose whether to share it on IGTV (Share on IGTV) or whether to save it locally (Download the video).
How to download Instagram direct from PC
Would you download your Instagram live from PC? I'm sorry, but at the time of writing, neither the web version of the photo social network nor its application for Windows 10 allow this. The only thing you can do in this case, at least as far as live broadcasts are concerned, is to view them: period.
Furthermore, it seems there are not even browser add-ons working to download your direct. I am sorry.
